The vice president, Kashim Shettima has tagged those opposed to the FG plan to relocate some of the departments of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and the headquarter of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, from Abuja to Lagos, as acting as mischief makers, since according to him, they were done in the interest of the country.
Shettima, stated this yesterday at the 10th Annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Lecture and Merit Awards in Maiduguri, Borno State, where he was special guest of honour.
Vice President Shettima, who was represented at the event by his special adviser on political matters, Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, said President Bola Tinubu would not make any policy or decision to be sectional, or at the detriment of some geographical locations in the country as he singled out his northern Nigerian brethren saying; I want to reassure the people of the north that the move is in the interest of the generality of Nigerians.
