Media Centre for Promotion of Safety Awareness, MCPoSA, is a registered non for profit and non-government organization, NGO, based in Lagos. As its name implies, it’s a health, safety, security, and environment NGO, committed to creating awareness on the designated areas through training, seminars, symposium workshops and advocacy.
Each year since 2014, when we keyed in, we mark ILO Day for safety and health at work, with a lecture, usually domesticating the global theme to suit our local health and safety needs, and recognitions and honours aptly captured as: Nigeria Safety and Security, NSAS Awards/Lecture.
We also mark in a very special way, UNESCO’s International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, IDEI, which simply means; World Day for safety of Journalists every November 2 with a free symposium for Journalists.
This is in addition to virtual advocacies and using every available opportunity to propagate the message of safety
