FAAN Staff ready for the change
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has introduced a monthly staff motivation strategy to drive its newly adopted work culture referred to as; Acculturation, which has just been launched by the Authority.

The acculturation initiative according to the press release, aims at transforming FAAN’s organizational culture towards efficiency and excellence, It is driven by the Director, Special Duties, Henry Agbebire and his team. It involves a comprehensive culture change training for all staff, guided by its staff handbook titled; Flight to Excellence.
Speaking at the event, FAAN’s Managing Director, Olubunmi Kuku, said that the program is significant in cultivating a work environment where excellence, efficiency, and integrity are paramount.
The new culture includes the introduction of MD’s Monthly Prize and Award for Excellence and Productivity. It recognizes and rewards outstanding performance of staff; just as a monthly bulletin, Skyward Shift, is also introduced to keep staff informed, motivated, and also announces and celebrates the MD’s monthly Prize winner
The Managing Director describes the exercise as a commitment to continuous improvement which tallies with the forward-thinking approach of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo SAN, to transforming organizational culture as she urges staff to fully engage with the training sessions and materials. The Acculturation Programme aims at equipping the ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development workforce with essential values, skills, and mindset, needed for catapulting the aviation sector to new heights as well as inspire similar transformative efforts in other agencies under the Ministry .
